Petya Lukyanov is an independent artist working across photography, experimental film, video, and ambient music. His practice explores imagined spaces, altered perceptions, and the hidden layers within everyday reality. Moving between visual and sonic forms, he creates works that examine memory, atmosphere, absence, and the fragile boundaries between the familiar and the unknown.
Lukyanov’s approach is shaped by long-term engagement with experimental electronic music, lo-fi processes, and material exploration. Noise, distortion, repetition, imperfections, and unexpected transformations are used not as limitations, but as creative tools that reveal new ways of experiencing images and sound. His work often combines precise construction with elements of chance, allowing materials and processes themselves to influence the final form.
